Girls Swim/Dive Win Sectional

On Saturday the Brownsburg Women's swimming and diving team won their 6th consecutive team sectional title.  The Bulldogs did it in impressive style beating runner-up Pike by 90 points.  533-443.


The Bulldogs put in a true team effort with all athletes placing in the top 8 spots on the day.


The key race for the Bulldogs was the 500 Free where the trio of Logan Replogle (1st), Maranda Peak (2nd) and Joley Clodfelter (3rd) swept the top of the podium.


Sectional runner-up finishes were had by Elise Dahlke in the 200 and 100 Free events, Jenny Dreessen in the 200 IM and 100 Back, Annika Schaekel in the 100 Fly and 100 Breast, Maria Gutzweiler in the 50 Free and Maranda Peak in the 500 Free.


Logan Replogle will be moving on to the state meet in the 500 Free and Emma Wolf and Hannah Truax will be moving on to Tuesday's diving regional.


The 200 Free Relay of Margie Miller, Elise Dahlke, Maria Gutzweiler and Julia Stonebreaker placed second in the 200 Free Relay with a school record and will also advance to the state championship next week.


The team finished with an impressive win in the 400 Free Relay to finish the day.  That relay consisted of Margie Miller, Elise Dahlke, Logan Replogle and Jenny Dreessen.
