The JV Purple softball team hosted South Dearborn on Saturday and ended the game with a 7-2 victory.
Sophomore Lydia Twomey led the way at the plate going 2 for 2, got 2 hit-by-pitches and scored 2 runs. Junior Rachel Young was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI. Also collecting hits were sophomore Taylor Hendrickson, sophomore Emily Walkup and freshman Olivia Bacon.
Sophomore Lydia Twomey pitched a complete game for the win, giving up five hits with two walks and eight strike outs.
The JV Purple ladies next play tonight at home against Lawrence North. Come out and support the lady Bulldogs as they look to stay unbeaten on the year.
