The girls track and field team started their outdoor season Thursday night with a victory over Westfield with a final score of 67-61. The girls 4x800 team of Carly Altier, Lindsay Huston, Sophie Britton, and Isabella Maihofer started the meet off with a win. Sophie Frieden took first in the 100 hurdles with freshman Laila Scott in second. Other event winners for the night include: Emma Cougill in the 1600, Isabella Maihofer in the 400, Ali Ray in the 3200, and the 4x400 relay of Emily Britton , Sadie McGowan, Gianna Maihofer, and Isabella Maihofer. In the field events, Kaylee price won the shot put, Katie Weldy took first in the discus, and Noelle Hiatt placed first in the pole vault. The girls will race Saturday morning at the Hoosier State Relays. Good luck girls!
