The Bulldogs rallied back from their Tuesday night loss to Lafayette Harrison with a 15-2 home opener over Western Boone. Anna Carroll, Claire Flick, and Marah Wood all led the pack, adding a combined total of 3 homeruns, 7 runs and 9 RBIs between the three of them. Juniors, Sophie Bosket and Maicey Bedrick also added to the offense. Sophie was 3 for 4 with 2 runs and 1 RBI. Maicey was 2 for 3 with 1 run. Sophomore, Mackenzie Bedrick had another solid offensive night for the Bulldogs going 1 for 1 and adding 3 runs to the scoreboard. Senior, Elissa Brown also went 1 for 1 with 2 RBI. Kyliegh Vaught and Olivia Calero both also had 1 hit each.
Elissa Brown pitched the Dogs to their first win only allowing only 3 hits and 1 run from Western Boone. Freshman, Maddy Edwards came in as relief in the 4th inning and only allowed 1 run as well.
The Dogs will take a small break from games for Spring Break and are set to face Whiteland on April 3rd at home at 6:00pm.
