The Brownsburg Boys Track and Field team traveled to Lafayette Jefferson this past Thursday to compete in the IHSAA Regional Meet. The Boys qualified six competitors from the regional meet to the state track meet which will be held this upcoming Friday at Indiana University in Bloomington. Both Devin Humes and Reis Thomas qualified in the discus. Devin threw 157-3 to take third and Reis Thomas threw 156-8 to take 5th. Devin and Reis are ranked 14th and 16th in the state heading into the state meet. The other four competitors competing this Friday are Leigh Nutall, Jon Hammond, Shai Sumpter-Bey, and Bryce Kirtz. The collective group took third in the 4x100 meter relay. Their time of 42.81 broke the school record and places them 14th in the state moving into the state meet. The Discus will begin at 3:00pm on Friday and the 4x100 meter relay is scheduled to begin at 6:45pm. Good luck to our boys as they compete at the highest level in the State of Indiana.
